EdCIL pays 10 Crore dividend cheque to Prakash Javadekar
Prakash Javadekar being presented the dividend cheque of Rs.10 crore for the FY 2016-17 by the CMD, EdCIL, Shri Diptiman Das, in New Delhi on November 14, 2017. The Minister of State for Human Resource Development and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Dr. Satya Pal Singh and the Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Shri Kewal Kumar Sharma are also seen.

Shri Diptiman Das, CMD, EdCIL handed over the dividend cheque of Rs 10 Crore for the Financial Year 2016-17 to Shri Prakash Javadekar, Union HRD Minister in the presence of Dr Satyapal Singh MoS, HRD, Shri K K Sharma, Secretary (Higher Education) and Shri R Subramanyam, Additional Secretary (Technical Education).

The Dividend matches the highest-ever dividend paid by the company. EdCIL registered a turnover of Rs 158 crore and the Profit before Tax (PBT) of Rs 47 crore during the FY 2016-17. Edcil provides specialized services in the areas of digital education, advisory, online testing and education infra areas. The company has recently bagged an ICT project worth US $12 million in Mauritius. The project will be implemented by March 2018.
