C.R.Viswanath, IAS-AP1981, is appointed as  Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in place of Shri K N Desiraju, IAS (UK: 1978) who recently retired from the post. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Chirravuri Viswanath was the CMD of Food Corporation of India.
