Dr. Chindi Vasudevappa presently Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture & Horticulture Science (UAHS), Shimoga, Karnataka has been appointed as Vice Chancellor, National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship & Management (NIFTEM), Sonepat, Haryana for a period of 05 years.
Dr. Vasudevappa, who hails from Esur village in Shikaripur taluk, said that he was aware of the problems faced by farmers here. Soil fertility had come down because paddy farmers in Shimoga and Davangere districts used excess chemicals inputs.
