Chhattisgarh IPS Reshuffle, 2020 Batch Officers Assigned Key Postings Across State

Indian Bureaucracy, Nava Raipur, June 26, 2025| The Chhattisgarh government rolled out transfer order late Wednesday, June 25, 2025, transferring nine (09) of its Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.

The reshuffle, promoting several Additional SPs to Superintendent roles, include new appointments on critical posts in the Special Intelligence Branch and Special Task Force. Chhattisgarh is know for many insurgency in hot zones. Commandant positions in the Chhattisgarh Police Armed Force are also shifting, beefing up security in Maoist-troubled districts like Narayanpur, Dantewada, and Bijapur. List of officers wit their present and new postings is listed below.

1. Shri Prabhat Kumar IPS (CG 2019), presently SP, Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Special Intelligence Branch, PHQ, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
2. Shri Vikash Kumar IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, PHQ, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, is transferred and appointed as SP – Special Intelligence Branch, PHQ, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
3. Ms Pooja Kumar IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, Dantewada, is transferred and appointed as SP – Radio, Chhattisgarh.
4. Shri Mayank Gurjar IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, Bijapur, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – 15th BN, Chhattisgarh Police Armed Force (CAF), Bijapur.
5. Shri Sandeep Kumar Patel IPS (CG 2020), presently SDOP and Addlitional SP, Bhanupratappur, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – 16th BN, CAF, Narayanpur.
6. Shri Rajanala Smruthik IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, Dantewada, is transferred and appointed as SP – STF, Baghera, Durg, Chhattisgarh.
7. Shri Robinson Guria IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, Narayanpur, is transferred and appointed as SP – Narayanpur District, Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh.
8. Shri Chirag Jain IPS (CG 2020), presently City SP, Durg, is transferred and appointed as Addlitional SP – Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Police Station, Chhattisgarh.
9. Shri Umesh Prasad Gupta IPS (CG 2020), presently Addlitional SP, Sukma, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – 14th BN, CAF, Balod, Chhattisgarh.
