In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Gujarat has issued transfer orders for 16 IAS officers across the state with immediate effect. The move is aimed at infusing fresh energy into the state’s bureaucratic machinery and enhancing the efficiency of governance at both district and departmental levels. The reshuffle spans various sectors including urban development, education, fisheries, power distribution, and digital governance. Senior and mid-level IAS officers have been reassigned to key roles, ensuring dynamic redistribution of responsibilities and leadership.
This exercise highlights the state government’s continued commitment to responsive administration, leadership development, and better service delivery. The transfers are expected to bring fresh perspectives to the respective departments and districts, boosting performance and public outreach.
Shri Dilip Kumar Rana IAS (2007), formerly Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara, is now Commissioner of Higher Education, Gandhinagar. Dr N K Meena IAS (2010) becomes Municipal Commissioner, Bhavnagar. Shri Tusharkumar Y Bhatt IAS (SCS 2010) has been appointed Collector, Patan. Shri Manish Kumar IAS (2013) moves to Collector, Bhavnagar. Shri Arun Mahesh Babu IAS (2013) is the new Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara.
Shri R R Damor IAS (SCS 2013) has been posted as Joint Secretary, Climate Change Department. Shri Arvind V IAS (2014) takes charge as Managing Director, Gujarat Informatics Ltd. Ms Neha Kumari IAS (2015) is now Mission Director, Gujarat State Electronics Mission. Ms Arpit Sagar IAS (2015) becomes Collector, Mahisagar.
Ms Shalini Duhan IAS (2016) has been appointed Collector, Dangs-Ahawa. Shri Bhavya Verma IAS (2016) is now Collector, Valsad. Shri Ganga Singh IAS (2017) has taken over as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara. Shri Manish Gurwani IAS (2017) is appointed Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Rajkot.
