The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has organized 1176 exposure visits for students across India as part of its initiative “Learning Science via Standards.” These exposure visits aim to raise awareness of quality standards among industry professionals and academia, providing hands-on understanding of manufacturing and testing processes. BIS has introduced a series of meticulously curated lesson plans focusing on everyday products to instill an appreciation for quality and standards in students. Additionally, BIS has established Standards Clubs in educational institutions, with around 6939 clubs and more than 1.75 lakh student members. The exposure visits are part of BIS’s commitment to contributing to India’s mission of building a quality-conscious nation.
