AP Chief Minister invites Russian defence manufacturers to Andhra Pradesh

The two day Dialogue between Indo-Russian Defence Industry jointly organised by FICCI and Economic Development Board, Government of Andhra Pradesh concluded today with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh calling for raising and accelerating the status of defence partnerships between Andhra Pradesh and Russia and jointly develop the coastal and internal infrastructure in the state.

This dialogue was attended by Mr. Georgy Antsev, General Director – General DesignerConcern ‘Morinformsystem Agat’, Mr. Boris Kotovsky – Foreign Economic Activity Director- JSC “Sudoexport”, Mr Andrey Baranov – Deputy General Director, Design Bureau, Rubin, Mr Mukul Chaudhry – Managing Director, CHW Forge and Chief Vice Admiral HCS Bisht. The Chief Minister also met the Indian Navy during this two day dialogue. Addressing the delegation the Hon’ble Chief Minister said that India and Russia are ‘Special privileged strategic partners’ and have a ‘Declaration of Strategic Partnership’ and Andhra Pradesh will carry this strategic partnership further. Visakhapatnam was a testimony to the enduring ties with Russia and the long coastline offer opportunities for Russian investors to set up integrated shipyards, ports and coastal corridors. The Chief Minister also gave a presentation on Amravati and smart technologies used by Andhra Pradesh in mitigation of drought, improving cleanliness and security. The two day dialogue also discussed opportunities for mutual participation in Coastal and Internal Infrastructure Russia giving specific impetus to Integrated Coastal Defence Systems.
