Shri Ajay Bisaria IFS (1987) presently Ambassador of India to Republic of Poland and Lithuania has been appointed Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan.The Indian high commission officials received Basaria at the Wagah border. He left for Islamabad after arriving here.

Shri Bisaria Bisaria has been appointed high commissioner to Islamabad for two years. He is the 25th Indian high commissioner to Pakistan. After training at the Foreign Service Institute in New Delhi, Bisaria chose Russian as his language of specialisation and was posted at the Indian Embassy in Moscow (1988-1991) where he was attached to the economic and political wings of the embassy.

Ajay Bisaria was appointed Private Secretary to the Prime Minister of India in 1999, and served in this capacity till 2004. During most of this period, he also served as an aide to the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Shri Bisaria also held position of private secretary to the prime minister from 1999 to 2004. From January 2015, he has served as India’s Ambassador to Poland, based in Warsaw, with concurrent accreditation to Lithuania.
