Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) Declamation Contest 2016 was conducted on 30 Aug 16 at Air Force Auditorium Subroto Park New Delhi. Out of total of 22 contestants, 10 contestants bagged trophies for winners and runner ups. The winners were awarded prizes by Mrs Lily Raha, President AFWWA.
AFWWA Declamation contest is conducted to boost up the morale, refine pubic speaking skills and instill self-confidence in the wards of Air Force Personnel. The contest is conducted at AFWWA (Local) level i.e. at every Air Force Station under various AFWWA (Regionals). The winners of Local level compete at its Regional Level and the winners of each AFWWA (R) are selected for AFWWA Declamation Contest at New Delhi every year. At Central Level, the contestants of each Regional level compete with each other in their respective fields i.e. Hindi/English. Apart from the Regional HQ, contestants are also invited from Schools which are directly under the aegis of Air Headquarters, New Delhi. A total of 08 contestants (04 for English and 04 for Hindi) participate from these Delhi based schools. The details of the prize winners are appended below:
