THE Centre on Thursday night announced the appointment of five new secretaries including Siraj Hussain as agriculture secretary and Jugal Kishore Mohapatra as new rural development secretary.
The assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to Shri Bhanu Pratap Sharma, IAS (BH:81), Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for a period of three months with effect from the date of relinquishing of charge by Dr. V.M. Katoch on completion of his tenure or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Consequent to the appointment of Shri Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, IAS (OR:79), Secretary, Department of Fertilizers as Secretary, Department of Rural Development, the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Fertilizers to Shri Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, IAS (OR:79) for a period of three months with immediate effect or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
