Indian Bureaucracy, Jammu/Srinagar, November 27, 2024| The Home Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has recently implemented a major reshuffling within its police force, effecting the transfer and posting of thirty-eight officers. This includes several senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, along with officers from the State Police Services. As part of the restructuring, many officers have been appointed to key positions such as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Superintendent of Police (SP), and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in various districts across the Union Territory. Below is a comprehensive list detailing the officers transferred and their new assignments.

IPS Officers

  1. Shri Sandeep Wazir IPS , presently posted as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), ACB, J&K, is transferred and appointed as AIG – Personnel, PHQ, J&K.
  2. Shri Gurinderpal Singh IPS, presently posted as Director – Police Telecommunication, is transferred and appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) – Baramulla, J&K.
  3. Shri Rajesh Kumar Sharma IPS, presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) – Security, Jammu.
  4. Shri Mumtaz Ahmad IPS, presently SSP – Poonch, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – IRP 12.
  5. Shri Mohd Aslam IPS, presently SSP – Doda, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – IRP 24.
  6. Smt Bisma Qazi IPS (AGMUT 2017), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) – City, East Srinagar.
  7. Shri Raghav S IPS, presently Additional Superintendent of Police, Budgam, is transferred and appointed as SSP – Ganderbal.
  8. Shri Gaurav Sikarwar IPS (AGMUT 2019), presently SSP – Reasi, is transferred and appointed as SSP – Rajouri.

J&K State Police Service

  1. Shri Mohd. Arshad, presently Commandant, Indian Reserve Police (IRP) 13, is transferred and appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) – CI CID Jammu.
  2. Shri Randeep Kumar, presently Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rajouri, is transferred and appointed as SSP – Security HQ, J&K.
  3. Shri Wasim Qadri, presently SSP, Ganderbal, is transferred and appointed as SSP – Railways Kashmir.
  4. Shri Virender Singh Manhas, presently Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Personnel Police Head Quarter (PHQ), is transferred and appointed as SSP – Samba.
  5. Shri Sandeep Kumar Mehta, presently SSP, J&K State Commission for Women (SCW) Jammu, is transferred and appointed as SSP – Doda.

  7. Shri Javid Iqbal, presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SSP – Kishtwar.
  8. Shri Mohd. Zaid, presently SSP, Baramulla, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – JKAP 13.
