The 10th Graduation Day of Jawahar Science College was held at Lignite hall, Block-11, Neyveli, (30.07.2017) wherein Dr. S.K. Acharya CMD, NLCIL gave away the degrees to the successful candidates and delivered Graduation Day address. 472 students including 355 Girl students who passed out during the year 2013-14,2014-15 ,2015-16 obtained their graduation degrees in person and about 408 in absentia. 18 Students who secured university rank in the respective subjects were honoured.
Dr. S.K Acharya in his Graduation Day address informed that graduation is the beginning of a very challenging journey. You all are in a juncture of time where the speed of change is so rapid and day to day new concepts are being contemplated, paradigms are being redefined and research is opening new vistas.
He insisted students to keep their passion to accept and overcome challenges and need to reach out and explore the changes with resilience and to become change agent to empower and achieve both national and organizational goals.
Shri R. Vikraman, Director (HR) in his presidential address to the students said that every individual is the master of his own destiny. Attitude reflects ones behaviour and a correct and a determined attitude provides them the winning edge irrespective of his skill & knowledge. He appealed the all students to follow determined attitude to success in life, which is more important than all other assets.
Earlier Shri.S.A.F Khalid, ED/Mines & Patron Jawahar Education Society, welcomed the gathering and Dr.V.T Chandrasekar, Principal; Jawahar Science College presented Annual report of JSC and administered the graduation oath to the successful students. Shri P.Sathiya Moorthy, DGM/HR, Secretary /JSC and other senior officials participated in the above function.
