The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, presented the National Sports and Adventure Awards at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (August 29, 2019) on the occasion of National Sports Day.

He won:
• Gold Medal in Commonwealth Games, 2018
• Gold Medal in Asian Games, 2018
• Silver Medal in World Wrestling Championship, 2018
• Bronze Medal in Asian Championship, 2018
• Gold Medal in Commonwealth Championship in 2016 & 2017
In recognition of his outstanding achievements in the sport of wrestling, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for the year 2019 is conferred upon Shri Bajrang Punia
