UP Government Transfers 13 IPS, Nachiketa Jha appointed new Home Secretary

IndianBureaucracy.com, Lucknow, December 01, 2024| The Uttar Pradesh government orders transfer and reassignment of 13 senior IPS officers, including those in the ranks of Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Inspector General of Police (IG), and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). This reshuffle is seen as a significant move, considering the seniority of the officers and the importance of portfolios such as Home Affairs, Crime, Intelligence, and police ranges including Devipatan, Basti, and Meerut. The new assignments are as follows:

1. Dr N Ravinder IPS (Uttar Pradesh 1996), presently Additional Director General of Police (ADG), PHQ, Lucknow, with additional charge as General Staff Officer (GSO) to DGP UP, is appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADG) – Anti-Corruption Organization (ACO), Uttar Pradesh.
2. Dr Sanjeev Gupta IPS (Uttar Pradesh 1999), presently Additional Director General of Police (ADG) and Home Secretary, Uttar Pradesh, is appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADG) – Establishment, Police HQ, with additional charge as General Staff Officer (GSO).
3. Shri Nachiketa Jha IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2003), presently Inspector General of Police (IG), Meerut Range, Meerut, is appointed as Home Secretary – Uttar Pradesh.
4. Shri Ram Krishna Bhardwaj IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2005), presently Inspector General of Police (IG), Basti Range, Basti, is transferred and appointed as IG – Health & Welfare (H&W), Police Headquarters, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
5. Shri Akash Kulhary IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2006), presently Joint Commissioner Of Police, Crime & HQ, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow is transferred and appointed as IG – Public Grievances, DGP Head Quarters, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
6. Shri Amit Pathak IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2007), presently Inspector General of Police (IG) – Public Grievances, DGP Headquarters, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Devipatan Range, Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
7. Shri Amrendra Prasad Singh IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2008), presently Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Devipatan Range, Gonda, is transferred and appointed as DIG – Intelligence, Police Headquarters, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
8. Shri Dinesh Kumar P IPS (2009), presently, Additional Commissioner Of Police, Commissionerate, Ghaziabad, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Basti Range, Basti, Uttar Pradesh.
9. Shri Babloo Kumar IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2009), presently, Additional Commissioner Of Police, Goutam Budh Nagar, is transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner Of Police – Crime & HQ, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
10. Shri Keshav Kumar Choudhary IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2009), presently, Additional Commissioner Of Police, Police Commissionerate, Agra, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Jhansi Range, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
11. Shri Sanjeev Tyagi IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently, SP, Intelligence, Ayodha, is transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner Of Police, Police Commissionerate, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
12. Shri Kalanidhi Naithani IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), presently, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Jhansi Range, Jhansi, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Meerut Range, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
13. Shri Ajay Kumar IPS (Uttar Pradesh 2011), presently, Commandant, PAC 38th Battalion, Aligarh, is transferred and appointed as  In-charge Additional Police Commissioner, Police Commissionerate, Gautam B. Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
