Vrinda Sarup, IAS-UP1981, is appointed as Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in place of Shri Sudhir Kumar, IAS-UP1978, who recently retired from the post. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Sarup was the Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, HRD.
Dr. Subhas Chandra Khuntia, IAS-KN1981, will takes charge in place of Ms. Sarup. Prior to this appo
intment, Dr. Kuntia was Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
