Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MR-SAM) is an advanced air defence system being jointly developed / produced by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) at an estimated cost of Rs.10,075.68 Crore.
Contract was signed in February 2009. MR-SAM can detect incoming enemy aircraft at 100 km distance and destroy them at ranges upto 70 km.
