Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi is a highly accomplished public servant with over 22 years of exemplary leadership at the district, state, and national levels. His diverse expertise spans critical sectors such as public health and nutrition, education, water and sanitation, housing and urban governance, rural development, agriculture, and the welfare of marginalized communities.

His recent appointment came just two days after Devendra Fadnavis assumed office as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister. Notably, Dr. Pardeshi had earlier served as Fadnavis’s secretary during his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister in the Mahayuti alliance, cementing a strong and effective working relationship.

Dr. Pardeshi is renowned for his bold and principled approach as an IAS officer, most prominently demonstrated during his tenure at the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) a decade ago. His administration carried out the demolition of nearly 500 illegal structures, including properties linked to prominent political figures across various parties earning him the widely recognized title of “Demolition Man.”
