Indian Bureaucracy, Chennai, February 24, 2025| The state government has ordered transfer of 13 police officers, including eight IPS and five TPS officers, while simultaneously promoting four officers to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

As part of the reshuffle, new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been appointed for Tiruppur (South), Coimbatore City (South), Salem City (North), Trichy City (North), Koyambedu (Greater Chennai Police), and Avadi Police Commissionerate. Several officers have also been elevated from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to the SP rank.

The complete list of officers, along with their current and new postings, is as follows:

  1. Dr Deepa Sathyan IPS (Tamil Nadu 2015), presently Superintendent of Police (Commandant), Tamil Nadu Special Police XIII Battalion, Chennai, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Tirupur City, in the existing vacancy.
  2. Smt G Subulakshmi IPS, presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, Koyambedu, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, relieving Shri K Adhiveerapandiyan.
  3. Smt Brinda IPS (Tamil Nadu 2019), presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, Salem City, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Commandant – Tamil Nadu Special Police, Regimental Centre, Avadi, relieving Shri S Ayyasamy.
  4. Smt I Shahnaz IPS (Tamil Nadu 2021), presently Assistant Superintendent of Police, Orathanadu Sub-Division, Thanjavur District, is promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police and posted as Superintendent of Police-I, Cyber Crimes Division, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai, relieving Shri D Ashok Kumar.
  5. Shri R Uthayakumar IPS (Tamil Nadu 2021), presently Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sriperumbudur Sub-Division, Kancheepuram District, is promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Coimbatore City.
  6. Shri N U Sivaraman IPS (Tamil Nadu 2021), presently Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram Sub-Division, Ramanathapuram District, is promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Salem City, relieving Smt Brinda IPS.
  7. Shri P Sibin IPS (Tamil Nadu 2021), presently Assistant Superintendent of Police, Dindigul Town Sub-Division, Dindigul District, is promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Trichy City.
  8. Shri D Ashok Kumar TPS (2005), presently Superintendent of Police-I, Cyber Crimes Division, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Commandant – Tamil Nadu Special Police VII Battalion, Pochampalli, relieving Shri C Sangu.
  9. Shri K Adhiveerapandiyan TPS (2005), presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Koyambedu, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai, relieving Smt G Subulakshmi IPS.
  10. Dr K S Balakrishnan TPS (2007), presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, Redhills, Avadi Police Commissionerate, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police (Assistant Inspector General), Welfare, Office of the Director General of Police (DGP), Head of the Police Force (HoPF), Tamil Nadu, relieving Shri P Balaji.
  11. Shri P Balaji TPS (2009), presently Superintendent of Police (Assistant Inspector General), Welfare, Office of the Director General of Police (DGP), Head of the Police Force (HoPF), Tamil Nadu, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Redhills, Avadi Police Commissionerate, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, relieving Dr K S Balla Krisshnan.
  12. Shri S Ayyasamy TPS (2013), presently Superintendent of Police (Commandant), Tamil Nadu Special Police, Regimental Centre, Avadi, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Commandant – Tamil Nadu Special Police XIII Battalion, Chennai, relieving Dr Deepa Sathyan IPS.
  13. Shri C Sangu TPS (2013), presently Superintendent of Police (Commandant), Tamil Nadu Special Police VII Battalion, Pochampalli, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Avadi.

Shri Vineet Kumar has been appointed as the Managing Director of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation Ltd., while other officers have been reassigned to Deputy Commissioner roles in new cities across the state. Details of the officers and their respective new postings is list as follows,

  2. Smt Poonamdeep Kaur IAS (Punjab 2013), presently Deputy Commissioner, Barnala, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner – Faridkot, Punjab, relieving Shri Vineet Kumar IAS.
  3. Smt Komal Mittal IAS (Punjab 2014), presently Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar, Punjab, relieving Smt Aashika Jain IAS.
  4. Smt Aashika Jain IAS (Punjab 2015), presently Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar is now the Deputy Commissioner – Hoshiarpur, Punjab, relieving Smt Komal Mittal IAS.
