The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) is set to hold the Anubhav Awards 2023 Ceremony in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on October 23, 2023. Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, will present the awards. The Anubhav Portal was launched by the DoPPW in March 2015 to allow retiring and retired government employees to submit and showcase their work, share their experiences, and provide suggestions for improving governance. To date, 96 ministries, departments, and organizations have registered on the portal, and over 10,000 write-ups have been published.

In an effort to maximize submissions, an Anubhav outreach program was initiated, leading to the publication of 1901 Anubhav write-ups, the highest number since the portal’s inception in 2015. A total of four Anubhav Awards and nine Jury Certificates will be conferred. This year, nine Jury Certificates are being awarded for the first time to encourage broader participation in the process. Awardees will receive a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, while Jury Certificate winners will be presented with a medal and a certificate. The DoPPW also organizes Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) Workshops to provide retiring employees with information related to their retirement benefits and the sanction process.

The All India Pension Adalat has been an effective platform for resolving pension grievances. So far, eight Pension Adalats have been conducted by DoP&PW, and 71% of the 24,671 grievances taken up were resolved by various ministries, departments, and organizations. In the upcoming ceremony, a Thematic All India Pension Adalat will be conducted to address pending Pension Payment Order cases across ministries and departments.

The DoPPW has decided to integrate various portals, including those of Pension Disbursing Banks, ANUBHAV, CPENGRAMS, and CGHS, into the newly created “Integrated Pensioners’ Portal” (https://ipension.nic.in). This integration aims to make it easier for pensioners to access various services and information. The Department is also planning a nation-wide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign in November 2023, enabling 70 lakh Central Government pensioners to submit their life certificates. DLC camps will be organized in 500 locations across 100 cities in collaboration with 17 banks. The Union Minister of State (PP) will launch the National DLC Portal on October 23, 2023, to monitor this campaign.
