CII Western Region (WR) is organizing its Annual Regional Meeting on 28 March 2019 at Ahmedabad. Coinciding with the CII Western Regional Annual Meeting, in the public session, a Conference on ‘ARISE for Nation Building’ will be organised.
A strong and respected nation is the outcome of the sincere efforts and the hardwork of its citizens. Nation building, among other things, encompasses ensuring balanced socio-economic development and creating a conducive environment for the citizens to realise their true potential. With massive developmental goals laid down for the country, government alone may not be able to achieve much, however, it will continue to play the role of a facilitator by creating an enabling environment. It is here that industry steps in as a vital contributor to the process of nation building.
The industry’s potential to create jobs and revenue for the nation makes them a very important stakeholder in the process of nation building. Moreover, they are also instrumental in maintaining and strengthening cordial relations with other countries owing to the dependence factor. Last but not the least, they provide superior offerings to an aspirational population thereby improving the standard of living of the citizens.
With this backdrop, CII WR is organising the conference on ‘ARISE for Nation Building’. The Conference aims to facilitate a meaningful discussion and introspection on how the industry through ARISE – Accountability, Reforms, Innovation, Sustainability and Employment can lay the foundation of a vibrant and a stronger India and how it can play an effective catalytic role in this process.
