The Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India organizes the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) annually to recognize children with exceptional abilities who have achieved remarkable recognition in various fields. The awards are given in categories such as Bravery, Sports, Social Service, Science & Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture, and Innovation, and are intended to acknowledge outstanding achievements at the national level. The awards ceremony takes place in New Delhi in January each year, where the Hon’ble President of India presents the awards. The recipients of the awards receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-, along with a medal and certificate.
Children who are Indian citizens and residing in India, and are below 18 years of age as of the last date of application/nomination, are eligible to apply for the PMRBP. The application process is conducted online through the dedicated portal https://awards.gov.in, designed specifically for this purpose. The last date for submitting online application forms is July 31, 2023.
