Shri Vijay Kumar IPS (AGMUT 1997), presently, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), J&K Police, is transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi segment of AGMUT with immediate effect for further posting.
Shri Vijay Kumar, a native of Bihar and a postgraduate from JNU, is recognized for his significant field expertise in counter-terrorism operations in the Kashmir Valley. He has served in the Special Operations Group (SOG), the counter-terrorism wing of the J&K Police, in South Kashmir and has led anti-terror initiatives in key districts, including Pulwama, Awantipora, Kulgam, and Anantnag.
