UP Reshuffle, IAS, PCS Officer Transferred, Amit Ghosh IAS Named Principal Secretary

Indian Bureaucracy, Lucknow, May 08, 2025| In a late-evening communication, the Government of Uttar Pradesh announced the transfer of two (02) IAS officers and eighteen (18) UP PCS officers. Senior bureaucrat Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh, has been appointed as Principal Secretary for Secretariat Administration. The PCS officers have been reassigned and transferred to the positions of ADMs and Deputy Collectors, impacting field-level administration in key districts including Hardoi, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Bijnor, Aligarh, Amroha, Muzaffarnagar, and others. A detailed list of officers, based on new location of posting including their immediate and new assignments, is provided below for your reference.

Lucknow, Kanpur, Etawah

1. Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1994), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Principal Secretary – Secretariat Administration Department, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
2. Shri Dayanand Prasad PCS (Uttar Pradesh 2008), presently Additional Kumbh Mela Adhikari, Prayagraj, is transferred and appointed as Additional Director (E) – Agriculture Directorate, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
3. Shri Ajeet Kumar Singh PCS (Uttar Pradesh 2012), presently Secretary, Prayagraj Development Authority, Prayagraj, is transferred and appointed as General Manager – Sugar Mill, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
4. Shri Ashok Kumar Gupta PCS, presently Special Executive Officer, Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Collector – Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

2. Shri Narendra Bahadur Singh PCS (Uttar Pradesh 2011), presently Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Administration), Muzaffarnagar, is transferred and appointed as Additional Divisional Magistrate – Finance and Revenue, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh.
