Delegates from 36 States and Union Territories reached the national capital to participate in a two-day program at Kartavya Path/Vijay Chowk on October 30th and 31st. These Amrit Kalash Yatris are accommodated in two camps, namely Dhanchiri camp in Gurgaon and Radha Soami Satsang Beas Camp in Delhi.
On October 30th, a full-day program on “Meri Maati Mera Desh” will take place. Participants from different States and Union Territories will march in ceremonial attire at the conclusion of the Amrit Kalash Yatra. The program will commence at 10 A.M. and extend into the late evening, with state-wise activities, including patriotic songs and choreographed cultural dance presentations. Delegates will symbolize unity by adding soil or rice from their respective State/UT Amrit Kalash into a collective Amrit Kalash.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the final event of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign on October 31st, 2023, at Vijay Chowk/Kartavya Path. This event will mark the conclusion of the Amrit Kalash Yatra for the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, with participants from over 7000 blocks in 766 districts. It will also mark the culmination of the two-year-long Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign that commenced on March 12, 2021, celebrating 75 years of India’s independence. Throughout the campaign, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav witnessed over two lakh programs conducted across the country with enthusiastic public engagement.
The event will also see the launch of the autonomous body MeraYuva Bharat (MY Bharat), which will focus on youth-led development and empower youth to drive the nation’s development actively. MY Bharat will serve as the bridge between the Government and citizens, inspiring youth to become community change agents and nation builders.
Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur announced the ‘Run for Unity,’ to be held on October 31st, and the conclusion of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ program under the Prime Minister’s leadership in Delhi. On the same day, the MeraYuva Bharat portal will be launched, providing a platform for the country’s youth to contribute to nation-building.
