Shri Shashank Mani Tripathi IAS (AGMUT 2015) presently Deputy Secretary – M/o Cooperation has been given Lateral shift as Deputy Secretary- M/o Home Affairs till
30.08.2028 (i.e. for balance period of his four year tenure) under the Central Staffing Scheme .

Shri Shashank Mani Tripathi, an accomplished officer of the Indian Administrative Service, was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, where he contributed to cooperative sector development under the central government framework. A technocrat with a sharp administrative acumen, Shri Tripathi holds a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering with First Class Distinction from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, and a Master’s in Public Management with First Class from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, specializing in Public Policy and Management.

Shri Tripathi’s civil service journey reflects rich grassroots and institutional experience across states and union territories. Prior to his central deputation, he served as District Collector and Magistrate in Arunachal Pradesh, Secretary to the Government of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, and held multiple leadership roles in Goa—including Commissioner of Excise, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, and Municipal Commissioner of North Goa. His administrative exposure spans vital sectors such as land revenue management, industrial production, financial governance, youth affairs, and local self-governance.

With a grounded approach to governance and a firm grasp of both policy and implementation, Shri Tripathi brings an energetic and solution-oriented perspective to the Ministry of Home Affairs. His lateral posting marks a continuation of his contribution to national development in key strategic sectors.
