Smt Ruchika Rishi IPS (Sikkim 2004), presently IGP Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), appointed Additional Director – Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB), in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix, on Central Deputation basis, for a tenure of 05 years up to 09.04.2028.
Smt. Ruchika Rishi, a 2004-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Sikkim cadre, is presently serving as the Additional Director in the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. She assumed this pivotal role in April 2025 on deputation for a period of three years, till April 2028 or until further orders.
With an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades, Smt. Rishi has held several key positions across central and state government institutions. She is highly regarded for her leadership in policing, public safety, policy formulation, and institutional development.
