REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited — a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power — formally handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited, to Adani Energy

Solutions Limited on May 30, 2025. This SPV pertains to an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project awarded under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹1,807.46 crore.
Adani Energy Solutions Limited was selected as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) for the project through a transparent bidding process conducted by RECPDCL, acting as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project is to be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The official handover of the SPV was carried out by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL, to Shri Sanjay Arvind Johri, Vice President (Business Development), Adani Energy Solutions Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, Adani Energy, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL). The project is expected to be completed by January 1, 2028.
The project scope includes the establishment of a 765/400 kV (2×1500 MVA) substation near South of Kalamb, the Loop-In Loop-Out (LILO) of approximately 89.18 km of the 765 kV Pune-III to Boisar-II transmission line, along with associated works.
