
Indian Bureaucracy, Firozabad, December 27, 2024| – In a significant move to boost healthcare infrastructure, REC Limited, a Maharatna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Sevarth Sansthan Seth Bimal Kumar Jain Trauma & Physiotherapy Dharmarth Samiti (SSB). The agreement, signed today, outlines a financial commitment of ₹14 crore for the acquisition of a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine to be used at SSB’s Trauma Centre in Firozabad District.
The MoA was formalized by Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director of CSR at REC, and Shri P K Jindal, President of SSB, during a ceremony attended by Shri Vivek Kumar Dewangan IAS, Chairman and Managing Director of REC Limited.
The Linear Accelerator, commonly known as LINAC, is vital for delivering advanced cancer treatments. This state-of-the-art equipment will enable specialists to effectively treat a wide array of cancers, including those affecting the brain, spine, head, neck, lung, breast, and more.
This initiative is part of REC’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda aimed at promoting health and well-being within communities. The project reinforces REC’s dedication to nation-building and its ongoing efforts to foster a healthier future through impactful contributions to healthcare, education, rural development, and environmental sustainability.
