The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, is set to visit Ladakh from October 31 to November 1, 2023, according to an announcement from the Press Information Bureau, Delhi.
The visit will commence on October 31 with the President participating in the Foundation Day celebrations of the Union Territory of Ladakh in Leh.
On November 1, the President will visit the Siachen Base Camp, where she will meet with the troops stationed there. Later in the day, a civic reception will be hosted in her honor at Leh. During her visit to Leh, the President will also interact with members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and local tribal communities.
This visit highlights the President’s commitment to engaging with different segments of society and recognizing the importance of Ladakh in India’s national landscape.
