More than 18 crore vaccine doses provided to States/UTs Free of Cost by Govt. of India, so far

  • More than 90 lakh doses still available with States/UTs to be administered
  • Over 7 Lakh doses in addition will be received by States/UTs in next 3 days

Government of India is expeditiously delivering Global Aid of Oxygen concentrators, cylinders, generation plants and more than 3.4 L Remdesivir Vials to states/UTs through a “Whole of Government” approach

  • 24 hour Recoveries outnumber Daily New COVID Cases after 61 days
  • Decline of 30,016 in Active Caseload for the first time after two months
  • More than 25.5 lakh beneficiaries of age group 18-44 Vaccinated so far
  • The National Recovery Rate is 82.75%.
  • The National Mortality Rate currently stands at 1.09%.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering.

PM salutes scientists on National Technology Day

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has praised the scientists and those passionate about technology on National Technology Day.

In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said:

“On National Technology Day, we salute the hardwork and tenacity of our scientists and those passionate about technology. We remember with pride the 1998 Pokhran Tests, which demonstrated India’s scientific and technological prowess.

In any challenging situation, our scientists and innovators have always risen to the occasion and worked to mitigate the challenge. Over the last year, they have worked industriously to fight COVID-19. I appreciate their spirit and remarkable zeal.”
