Smt Padmini Singla IAS (AGMUT 2002), presently Chairperson, Services Selection Board (SSB), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, is appointed as Joint Secretary – Ministry of Textiles, at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix for a tenure of five years.

Smt. Padmini Singla, an esteemed officer of the Indian Administrative Service has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, administrative acumen, and a deep commitment to public service.

Smt. Singla began her journey in the civil services as an IAS Probationer in South Andaman (2002-2004), gaining firsthand experience in land revenue management and district administration. She then served as Deputy Collector in Chandigarh Administration (2004-2006), where she played a pivotal role in revenue and district administration. Following this, she took on responsibilities as Joint Secretary in the Home Department, Arunachal Pradesh (2006-2008), contributing significantly to personnel and general administration.

Her leadership skills were further exemplified when she served as Deputy Commissioner in the Revenue Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh (2008-2010). She then moved to Delhi as Additional Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor (2010-2013), overseeing key urban development initiatives. She later took charge as Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of North Delhi (2013-2014), where she effectively managed urban governance and municipal administration.

In 2014, she was appointed Director in the Education Department, Government of Delhi, where she played a crucial role in shaping educational policies and reforms until 2016. Her expertise in governance was further recognized when she was made Managing Director of the Transport & Tourism Department, Government of NCT Delhi (2016).

Following a brief leave period, Smt. Singla returned to serve in key administrative roles, including Secretary in the Power Department (2019-2020), Finance Department (2019-2020), Planning Department (2019-2020), Health & Family Welfare Department (2020), and Food & Supplies Department (2021) in the Government of NCT Delhi. Her extensive experience in handling critical departments showcased her ability to navigate complex governance challenges effectively.

She then took on the role of Secretary in the Education & Technical Education Department, Itanagar (2022-2023), and later as Chief Electoral Officer, Itanagar (2022-2023), ensuring smooth election management and security coordination. In 2024, she was appointed Chairperson of the Services Selection Board (SSB), Arunachal Pradesh, leading recruitment and personnel management efforts before her recent appointment as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles.
