Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard have not conducted any such awareness camp. However, as part of its Public awareness activities, the Department of Atomic Energy and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) have taken number of steps to bring awareness regarding the various peaceful uses of atomic energy and dispel unfounded apprehension of citizens. Such measures include setting up Permanent Exhibitions, site visits by parliamentarians, journalists, prominent citizens, college students, local villagers etc. Further, based on continuous and periodic assessments of intelligence agencies, the security measures adopted in nuclear installations are reviewed and regularly strengthened.
