A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been finalized as between National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and Ministry of Steel; per the guidelines of Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) which emphasizes continuous growth/sustainability of activities of NMDC compared to the previous years. The Major Parameters envisaged in the MoU 2015-16 are given below:-
i) Production of Iron Ore – 350 Lakh Tonnes
ii) Sale of Iron Ore – 380 Lakh Tonnes
iii) Sales Turnover- Rs.13500 Crore
iv) Gross Operating Margin – Rs.9450 Crore
v) Capital Expenditure – Rs. 3767 Crore
Apart from above, MoU also includes other factors for the growth of the company such as R&D Efforts, Project Implementation (milestones of upcoming projects), energy conservation, environment protection, productivity improvement, safety management and HRD Efforts.
