The 6th Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Subordinate Officers’ Conclave took place in New Delhi on October 26 & 27, 2023. The theme of the conclave was ‘Towards an Inclusive Approach’. Subordinate officers from various Coast Guard units across the country participated in the event.

The conclave included brainstorming sessions and lectures on a wide range of subjects, including IT, health, human resources, leadership, and media sensitization. During the event, various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance welfare measures for Coast Guard personnel.

The discussions during the conclave focused on the future inductions in the ICG, emphasizing the principles of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India), refining human resources policies for better and more inclusive career growth, and integrating advanced technology to enhance the service’s capabilities and capacity.

Director General Rakesh Pal inaugurated the conclave and highlighted that it aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of promoting innovative ideas for the inclusive growth of the service, following the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’ (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All, and Efforts of All). The ICG aims to empower and broaden the horizons of subordinate officers and provide them with a platform to share their innovative ideas and thoughts with decision-making authorities within the service.
