Major Reshuffle in UP| 46 IAS Transferred, Sanjay Prasad Back as Principal Secretary Home

Indian Bureaucracy, Lucknow, January 03, 2025| The Govt of Uttar Pradesh in a significant administrative reshuffle transferred forty-six IAS officers. Shri Sanjay Prasad has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for the Home Department.

1. Shri Deepak Kumar IAS (UP 1990), presently, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Institutional Finance & External Aided Project Department & Commissioner, Finance and  Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education Department, Uttar Pradesh and Additional Chief Secretary Home Department (Home, Gopan, Visa, PassPort, Jail, Vigilance), Uttar Pradesh, is relieved of additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department (Home, Gopan, Visa, PassPort, Jail, Vigilance) and is given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary – Department of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh.
2. Shri Lakko Venkateshwarlu IAS (UP 1991), presently, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Uttar Pradesh, Chairman, UPSRTC & Director General DG, Deendayal Upadhyay state Institution of Rural Development, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Department of Social Welfare, Soldiers Welfare and Rehabilitation, Director – Tribal Welfare, Managing Director – UP State Construction and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (UPSCIDCo), Director – Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute, UP, Director – Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Human Development Institute, Uttar Pradesh.
3. Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh IAS (UP 1991), presently awaiting posted is appointed Principal Secretary, Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh.
4. Shri Babu Lal Meena IAS (UP 1991), presently, Principal Secretary, Horticulture & Sericulture & Food Processing Department, Uttar Pradesh, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh, is relieved from the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh.
5. Shri Narendra Bhooshan IAS (UP 1992), presently, Principal Secretary, Energy & Additional Sources of Energy & Chairman, Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) & with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Panchyati Raj, Uttar Pradesh, is relieved of the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Panchyati Raj, Uttar Pradesh, and given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Technical Education Department, Uttar Pradesh.
6. Shri Alok Kumar IAS (UP 1993), presently, Principal Secretary, UP State Sports and Youth Welfare, with additional charge of MSME & Export Promotion, Handloom and Textile, Khadi & Gramodyog Department, Public Enterprises, Technical Education Department & Vocational Education & Skill Development, Uttar Pradesh, is relieved of the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Handloom, Textile, Khadi & Gramodyog, Public Enterprises, Technical Education, Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Uttar Pradesh, and given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department, and NRI department, Uttar Pradesh.
7. Smt Veena Kumari Meena IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1995), presently, Principal Secretary, Sugar Industries & Cane Development, with additional charge of Excise and Ayush, is relieved of the additional charge of Ayush Department, Uttar Pradesh.
8. Shri Sanjay Prasad IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1995), presently,  to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, CM Protocol, and Information & Public Relations Department, is entrusted with the additional charge of Principal Secretary – Home Department (Home, Gopan, Visa, Passport, Jail, Vigilance), Uttar Pradesh.
9. Shri Anil Garg IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1996), presently, Principal Secretary, UP Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Chairman PACT & Parti Bhumi Vikas Department, with additional charge of Prison Administration & Reform Services, State Nodel Officer for PM Agriculture Irrigation Scheme and MD, UP Bhoomi Sudhar Nigam, is relieved of the charges of PM Agriculture Irrigation Scheme and MD, UP Bhoomi Sudhar Nigam.
10. Dr MK Shanmuga Sundaram IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1997), presently, Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department, Uttar Pradesh, is appointed as Principal Secretary – Labour and Employment Department, Uttar Pradesh.
11. Shri Mahendra Prasad Agarwal IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1997), presently, Principal Secretary, UP Higher Education, with additional charge of Political Pension Department, Civil Defence, and Cooperative Department, is relieved of the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Political Pension Department, Civil Defence, and Cooperative Department, Uttar Pradesh.
12. Dr Hari Om IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1997), presently, Principal Secretary, Department of Social Welfare, Soldiers Welfare and Rehabilitation, Director – Tribal Development Department, Uttar Pradesh, is appointed Principal Secretary – Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Uttar Pradesh.
13. Shri Anil Kumar IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1998), presently, Principal Secretary, Department of Labour and Employment, Geology & Mining, and Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Uttar Pradesh, is relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Department of Labour and Employment, Geology & Mining and given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Panchayati Raj, Uttar Pradesh.
14.
