Shri Mahesh Chandra Sharma IAS (Rajasthan 2018), presently Divisional Commissioner, Ajmer, Rajasthan, given additional charge of Inspector General – Registration and Stamps, Rajasthan. The post was previously held by Shri Ashish Gupta IAS (Rajasthan 2013), who is now on Central Deputation as Joint Director in National Testing Agency, New Delhi.

Shri Mahesh Chandra Sharma, IAS, presently serving as Divisional Commissioner, Ajmer, Rajasthan, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Inspector General – Registration and Stamps, Rajasthan. This additional responsibility is a testament to his administrative competence and broad experience across key governance sectors.

Shri Sharma has had a distinguished career marked by leadership roles in areas such as food storage, personnel administration, and watershed management. Since April 2021, he has been serving as Managing Director at the Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation, Jaipur, where he has overseen the functioning of food storage and logistics—an area critical to food security and supply chain management. Alongside this, he has also held the post of Joint Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department since December 2018, playing a significant role in personnel and administrative governance.

Earlier, Shri Sharma served as Special Officer in the Water Resources Department, focusing on watershed management and sustainable water conservation practices—a vital area in the arid regions of Rajasthan.

His additional charge as Inspector General – Registration and Stamps is expected to benefit from his multifaceted administrative expertise. In this role, he will oversee key aspects of revenue generation through stamp duties and property registration, contributing to the state’s financial and legal systems.
