Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh emphasized the growing appeal of Jammu & Kashmir as a hub for national and international medical and academic conferences, especially following the successful G20 summit held in Srinagar. Speaking at a healthcare communication workshop in Srinagar organized by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Dr Singh highlighted the region’s transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He stressed the importance of effective communication in healthcare, emphasizing that healthcare is both a science and an art. Dr Singh praised the rich healthcare legacy of J&K and its growing reputation as a venue for important events, citing the recent G20 summit’s remarkable success. He also discussed the impact of technology on healthcare communication and the need to strike a balance in an age where communication can come at a cost. Dr Singh commended the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir government and NBEMS in enhancing healthcare in the region and reiterated the importance of effective healthcare communication in delivering quality healthcare.
