India Gears Up for Cyber Challenges with Bharat NCX 2023

Shri Ajay Kumar Sood, the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, inaugurated ‘Bharat NCX 2023’ in the presence of Deputy National Security Advisor Shri Rajinder Khanna and National Cyber Security Coordinator Lt Gen MU Nair. This second edition of the National Cyber Security Exercise will span twelve days from October 9 to 20, 2023. ‘Bharat NCX 2023’ is designed to train senior management and technical personnel from government, critical sector organizations, and public and private agencies in handling contemporary cyber threats and incidents. The exercise is conducted by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) in partnership with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU).

Over 300 participants from diverse sectors will undergo training on topics such as intrusion detection, vulnerability handling, digital forensics, and more. The event’s significance was highlighted by Dr. Ajay Kumar Sood’s keynote address, emphasizing continuous learning and expertise cultivation in strengthening India’s cybersecurity defenses. Lt. Gen. M U Nair, National Cyber Security Coordinator, provided insights into India’s evolving cyber threat landscape. This event also features an exhibition showcasing Indian cybersecurity startups and SMEs, emphasizing their role in enhancing India’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Additionally, a conclave will bring together over 200 Chief Information Security Officers for in-depth discussions on cybersecurity challenges.
