NHPC Limited has been awarded with GRIHA Four Star Rating for Neershakti Sadan (Phase-II Building) at GRIHA Summit held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 2nd March 2017. On behalf of NHPC Limited, the award was received by Shri G.P. Patel, Executive Director (EMS) & Shri M.K. Gupta, Chief Engineer (Civil) EMS from Shri Rajeev Kapoor, Secretary, MNRE in gracious presence of Dr. Ajay Mathur, President GRIHA Council and DG, TERI and other distinguished guests from various eminent organizations.
GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is the National Green Building Rating System of India. GRIHA has been conceived by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and developed jointly with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. GRIHA is a rating tool that helps people assess the performance of their building against certain nationally acceptable benchmarks.
Neershakti Sadan is the first building in Faridabad awarded with 4 Star GRIHA Rating.
