Indian Bureaucracy Network | In a recent reshuffle in the Uttarakhand Police Department on the 4th of this month,  several senior officers have been assigned new roles and responsibilities. Shri Mukesh Kumar, an IPS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre of 2011, who was previously serving as the Assistant Inspector General of Police- PAC and Police Officer, SCIRB/CCTNS, has been promoted and posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police- PAC, Uttarakhand. This transition marks a significant elevation in his responsibilities, reflecting his contributions and expertise in policing and administrative affairs.

Similarly, Shri Dheeraj Singh Gunjyal, also an IPS officer from the 2011 Uttarakhand cadre, has been transferred from his role as Assistant Inspector General of Police- Prisons and has been posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Administration & Legal Affairs, Uttarakhand. This new assignment places him in a crucial administrative role, where his experience will be instrumental in streamlining legal affairs and maintaining law and order.

Another key transfer involves Smt. Rekha Juyal, an IPS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre of 2015, who was previously stationed at the Police Headquarters. She has now been assigned the role of Superintendent of Police- Vigilance Establishment, Uttarakhand. With her new designation, she is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening the vigilance framework in the state, ensuring transparency and efficiency within the police system.

Shri Jitendra Mehra, an IPS officer from the 2021 Uttarakhand cadre, who was serving as Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime/Traffic, Haridwar, has been elevated to the position of Superintendent of Police- Crime/Traffic, Haridwar. His new role comes with greater responsibilities in managing crime control and traffic regulation in the region, which are critical to maintaining public safety and law enforcement effectiveness.

Ms. Duggi Mittalashri Tomar, another IPS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre of 2021, has also been promoted. Previously serving as Additional Superintendent of Police, Crime/Traffic, Udham Singh Nagar, she has now been appointed as Superintendent of Police- Crime/Traffic, Udham Singh Nagar. Her elevation to this position highlights her capabilities in handling crime and traffic management in the district, ensuring smooth coordination of law enforcement activities.
