Union Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, presided over a high-level meeting aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects in 43 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs, IIITs, IISERs, and Central Universities. The meeting also encompassed ongoing projects in institutions under School Education, such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, across the country. Key attendees included Secretary of Higher Education, Shri K. Sanjay Murthy, heads of HEIs, senior officials from CPWD (Central Public Works Department), NBCC (National Buildings Construction Corporation), and the Ministry of Education.

During the meeting, Shri Pradhan emphasized the need for expediting and completing the infrastructure projects by the end of the year. He also highlighted that the modern infrastructure, once completed, would be dedicated to the nation. This development is expected to enhance efforts towards nurturing 21st-century global citizens.

The completion of these new projects involves the construction of academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, and facilities for vocational activities for students across various IITs, IIITs, IIMs, IISERs, and Central Universities. The focus on infrastructure development in these educational institutions demonstrates the government’s commitment to creating conducive learning environments and promoting quality education across the country.
