The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) organized a webinar to commemorate Constitution Day on November 26, marking the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949. The event aimed to raise awareness about the Constitution’s values and guiding principles and was attended by over 1,000 officials from Central Ministries, State Governments, DARPG, DoPPW, and NCGG.
The program began with the Reading of the Preamble, followed by a webinar titled “Reflections on the Constitution of India.” In his opening remarks, Sh. V. Srinivas, Secretary of DARPG, highlighted the significance of the Constitution in shaping governance and public service. Distinguished speakers included Sh. Apurva Chandra, Former Health Secretary, who addressed the topic “Health Care for All,” and Dr. C.K. Mathew, Former Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, who shared “A Civil Servant’s Reflections on the Constitution.” The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Smt. Sarita, Joint Secretary, DARPG.
The speakers emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to the constitutional ideals of justice, equality, and dignity for every citizen. Participants reaffirmed their dedication to upholding these principles, reflecting the enduring relevance of the Constitution in governance. The webinar witnessed enthusiastic engagement from government officials across the country, underscoring the shared commitment to the vision of the Constitution.
