CSC e-Governance Services India Limited has taken a commendable step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) to ensure the availability of essential agricultural inputs for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), including the 10,000 FPOs established under the Government of India’s Central Sector Scheme. This milestone agreement was formalized in the distinguished presence of Shri Sanjay Rakesh, Managing Director and CEO of CSC SPV, and Shri Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director of IFFCO.IFFCO

The Government’s Central Sector Scheme for “Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs”, launched in 2020, has been instrumental in empowering farmers by reducing production costs, boosting incomes, and promoting aggregation of agricultural produce. By supporting FPOs as Common Service Centres (CSCs), the initiative not only ensures sustainability and financial resilience for farmers but also catalyzes rural employment and development.

This transformative partnership will enable FPOs across the country to access crucial agricultural inputs—fertilizers, seeds, and agrochemicals—provided by IFFCO. It is set to significantly enhance farmers’ productivity while fostering sustainable agricultural practices on a national scale.

Speaking at the event, Shri Sanjay Rakesh, MD and CEO of CSC SPV, expressed his enthusiasm: “It gives us immense pride to strengthen FPOs through this partnership with IFFCO. By providing essential inputs and services, small and marginal farmers will now have greater access to support, driving a wave of digital empowerment and rural growth. We anticipate a substantial boost in agriculture-related services delivered through CSCs, benefitting rural India at large.”

CSC SPV, with its unwavering dedication to improving rural livelihoods, has continually expanded its services for farmers. Its extensive network of CSCs in remote areas already offers critical solutions such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), teleconsultations, crop insurance, e-veterinary services, Kisan Credit Card assistance, and support for the PM Kisan scheme.

This progressive collaboration with IFFCO not only reflects CSC SPV’s commitment to rural prosperity but also solidifies its role as a catalyst for farmer welfare and sustainable agricultural growth.
