BEML Ltd secures Significant Order for 50-Ton Trailer of 83.51 Cr from MoD

BEML Limited, a premier Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has achieved another remarkable milestone by securing a contract worth ₹83.51 crore for the supply of a 50-Ton Trailer. This accomplishment underscores BEML’s expertise and unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge, indigenous solutions that strengthen India’s defence infrastructure.

The 50-Ton heavy-duty Trailer, designed for transporting battle tanks, is a testament to BEML’s engineering excellence. Equipped with 12 twin-wheels, it ensures durability and stability even in the most challenging terrains. With an impressive payload capacity of 50 tonnes, the Trailer is built to be seamlessly towed by the BEML HMV 8×8 vehicle. Advanced features such as a steerable turntable with 55-degree rotation in both directions, a twin-line air brake system, emergency brakes, and mechanically operated parking brakes further enhance its operational capabilities. The rear chassis frame incorporates a combination of fixed, hinged, and loose ramps, enabling efficient and safe tank loading.

A CASE OF PSU’s that dwelt elaborately upon the opportunities and challenges  lying  ahead for PSUs in this regard and held at SCOPE Convention center, Scope Complex, New Delhi was  inaugurated  by Sri KP Mahadevaswamy CMD NBCC ,Organized by Rightmen Services  an HR Consulting Company with THS The Law Firm as theme collaborators and Microsoft as a key knowledge partner, it was designed to help PSUs chart a roadmap in the matter of adoption of new age technology related to Gen AI and AI to support and transform HR function.

In his address ,Sri Mahadeva Swamy underscored  the critical role played by PSUs in nation”s economy and advised them to embrace technology that supports faster delivery of business and augments productivity as a means to deal with the growing challenges. Sri Alok Kumar Managing Partner THS The Law Firm, in his welcome address , highlighted the significant role of NBCC in growth of infrastructure and economy under the leadership of CMD, Shri Mahadevaswamy and expressed hope that the program would help PSUs take their HR function to the next level.

Anchored and designed by Sri Vinod Behari ,CEO , Rightment Services and former Executive Director HR REC Ltd , the program featured eminent speakers from industry, academia & researchers and consulting firms besides Microsoft the key knowledge partner and their associates. It saw an enthusiastic participation from PSUs such as Indian Oil Corpn, Powergrid, PFC, REC, NTPC, SJVNL, HUDCO, NBCC, MOIL etc. who shared their insights and experiences in the matter and updated their skills and knowledge as key learning takeaways.

Elbit Systems awarded Contracts worth $175 Million from NATO European Country

Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today that it was awarded two contracts with an aggregate value of approximately $175 million for the supply of EW (Electronic Warfare) and DIRCM (Directed Infrared Countermeasure) Self-Protection Suites to a NATO European country. The contracts will be performed over a period of five years.

Under the contracts, Elbit Systems will deliver its Self-Protection Suites for installation on the country’s Embraer C-390 Millenium aircraft and Airbus H225M helicopters. Additionally, the C-390 contract includes an agreement with another European country, providing for the delivery of the Advanced EW suite for installation on its Embraer C-390 Millenium aircraft.

The state-of-the-art EW and DIRCM Self-Protection Suite, to be installed on both platforms, provides enhanced defense capabilities by autonomously detecting, analyzing, and countering a wide range of threats. The suite includes Elbit Systems’ advanced Digital Radar Warning Receiver, IR Missile Warning System (MWS), Laser Warning System (LWS), Countermeasure Dispenser System (CMDS), and the MUSIC™ family DIRCM System. Additionally, as part of the C-390 contract, Elbit Systems will provide its SPEAR Advanced ECM (AECM) Pod, which can be easily installed and transferred between aircraft on the flight line.

“With our EW Self-Protection Suites installed on over 30 aircraft types and deployed across multiple countries, including several NATO members, Elbit Systems is recognized as a global leader in Electronic Warfare and DIRCM technology.” said Oren Sabag, General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW. “These new contracts further reinforce our global position in the area of airborne Self-Protection Suites.” He added, “Our advanced modular design allows continuous updates, ensuring adaptation to evolving threats and providing a rapid response to enhance the safety of both aircrews and platforms.”
