Shri Bhaskar Khulbe IAS (West Bengal 1983) presently Secretary, Prime Minister of India (PMO), will most likely get an extension for a period of three months .Shri Khulbe was supposed to retire by end of March 2019. Shri Khulbe had earlier served as a Director in Cabinet Secretariat, Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training and Principal Resident Commissioner in New Delhi. In 2001, he was also an adviser in the Indian embassy in Brussels.

Shri Khulbe is a post graduate in Zoology. He has also done courses in Social Policy in 1994 from the United Kingdom; and Leadership and Strategic training in 2014 from the United Kingdom. He has served in West Bengal in various capacities in Departments of Land Revenue Management and District Administration; Rural Development; Agriculture & Cooperation; Fisheries; Law & Justice; and Science & Technology. He has also served in various capacities in Arunachal Pradesh in Departments of Rural development; Energy; Personnel & General Administration; Energy; and Law and Justice.
