Shri Ashish Kumar Srivastava, IAS (Uttarakhand cadre, 2011 batch), an accomplished civil servant known for his administrative versatility and academic depth, has been designated as Regional Director (Director level) in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Prayagraj. Prior to this, he was serving at the Deputy Secretary level in the same office, where he played a pivotal role in streamlining recruitment and coordination functions.
An alumnus of VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Shri Srivastava holds a B.Sc. in Science, an M.Sc. in Botany, and a Ph.D. in Botany. His strong academic foundation has often translated into analytical precision and evidence-based governance in his administrative roles.
Over the years, Shri Srivastava has held several key positions in the Uttarakhand Government. These include District Magistrate of Uttarkashi and Udham Singh Nagar, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, Vice Chairman of the Dehradun Development Authority, and CEO of various urban development initiatives. He has also contributed to institutional governance as Director (Administration) at Pantnagar University and as Additional Secretary in the Planning Department.
