IndianBureaucracy New Delhi News – The two premier medical institutes of India, The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 10, 2024. The MOU highlights collaborative efforts in joint research and academic activities, focusing on multidisciplinary scientific and technological challenges.

DGAFMS Lt Gen Daljit Singh and AIIMS Director Professor M Srinivas officially signed collaboration between the medical institutes, the MOU opens avenues for exploring joint research projects, engaging in common educational activities, and establishing a faculty exchange program. This collaborative effort aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both AFMS and AIIMS in investigations, research, and patient care services.

The faculty exchange program is designed to facilitate seamless movement of faculty members between the two institutions, fostering collaborative research endeavors and providing opportunities for training purposes. To ensure effective coordination and sustained collaboration, a collaboration board comprising five members from each institution has been established. This board will convene monthly meetings to explore and initiate potential collaborations that align with the shared interests and objectives of AFMS and AIIMS.
