The Ministry of Railways has actively launched Special Campaign 3.0 across the entire Indian Railways network, covering Zonal Head Quarters, Divisional Offices, Production Units, RDSO, Training Institutes, Public Sector Undertakings, and over 7000 stations.
As part of this campaign, the Railway aims to conduct 10,722 cleanliness campaigns by October 31, 2023, with a special focus on scrap disposal in offices and workplaces, aiming to free up 3,18504 sq. feet of space.
To achieve these objectives, more than 5,297 cleanliness campaigns have been carried out as of October 13, 2023. The campaign has led to the resolution of over 1.02 lakh public grievances. Emphasis on scrap disposal in offices and workplaces resulted in freeing up 397619 sq. feet of space, generating approximately Rs. 66.83 lakhs in revenue through the disposal of office scrap. Additionally, more than 51,954 files have been reviewed for the purpose of recording and weeding.
