The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has given ‘in principle’ approval to Government of Maharashtra for construction of a new airport at Navi Mumbai which is intended to serve as the second airport for passengers of Mumbai. Besides, MoCA has also granted ‘in principle’ approval to develop a second airport at MoPA village in Goa and ‘site clearance’ for setting up of Greenfield Airport at Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) in NCR, which can act as second airport to Delhi.
