Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, May 15, 2029| The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has promoted ten (10) Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers of 2014, 2016 and 2020 batch to the grade of Joint Commissioner, in the pre-revised pay scale of Pay Band – 3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600.00. The promotions are effective notionally from March 26, 2025, with actual effect from the date they assumed charge. This move, outlined in Office Order No. 81/2025 dated May 14, 2025, is based on the seniority list issued earlier this year. The promotion of the officers is on as-is-where-is basis till regular postings are declared.
